NCJW Welcomes Opening of Health Insurance Marketplace to Help More Women, Families Access Affordable Coverage

The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) celebrates the start of the health insurance marketplace today, created under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). NCJW worked in coalition to support passage of this landmark law and has continued to press for the law to be implemented in a way that works for women and families.

NCJW Appalled at Congressional Inaction, Government Shutdown

In the wake of the latest breakdown in efforts to avoid a government shutdown, the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) expressed its dismay at Congress’ inability to pass a Continuing Resolution that prevents further sequestration, rejects efforts to defund the Affordable Care Act, and adequately funds services for those most vulnerable.
